New Mexico! Join us on a captivating guided photography tour in the breathtaking Bosque del Apache Wildlife and Ladd S. Gordon Refuge.

Fly into: Albuquerque Airport, New Mexico
We’ll stay in: Socorro, New Mexico

The photography tour is limited to 6 people.

Pricing: $1200.00 for 3 days

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A $400.00 deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure your workshop. The remaining balance of your workshop must be paid in full within 60 days of the workshop starting date.

Cancellation policy is as follows. In order to receive a full refund MINUS CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES, you will need to cancel your workshop at least 60 days prior to your booked date. If you need to cancel within that 60 day window, you will receive a refund minus the cost of your deposit.


Day 1

Meet 6:30 pm and get information about the upcoming days. Answer questions and get to know each other.

Day 2-4

As mentioned, I will provide more specific information the first night but a typical schedule will be something like this:

We will meet in the morning around 6 am. Each sunrise photo session will last until 9 or 10 am. There will be a break before the classroom session during the lunch hour and then the afternoon session will start around 2:30 pm and last until around sunset.

What’s NOT included?

  • Meals will not be provided. We will eat locally.

  • Flights/transportation to New Mexico.

  • Lodging: I will have rooms reserved so we can stay together or you can make your own arrangements.

  • Transportation: I encourage carpooling. It is a good way to learn more about others in the group.

Things To Bring

  • DSLR or mirrorless camera. Make sure you have some working knowledge of your camera.

  • Telephoto and wide angle lens

  • A study tripod or monopod

  • Battery charger and extra batteries, memory cards, laptop computer

  • Clothing: It can get really cold in this time of year. Dress in layers so you can remove items as the temperature changes throughout the day. Stocking cap, hat, wool socks, warm gloves, hiking boots or comfortable walking shoes are appropriate. Hand and toe warmers can be helpful.

  • Sunscreen and lip balm

  • I will contact you before we meet and make sure I answer any questions you may have about places to stay, camera equipment, camera experience and anything else you can think of. Please feel free to also reach out if you any other questions.
